Hi, just found your website today!
Quite witty and funny and I can’t wait to see how things turn out. Will most likely stick around and see how the situation develops.

Welcome to Mars, Kev! Glad you like it

I’ve been reading for quite a few weeks now, and really enjoy the comic. The timing is good, the art is pretty pleasing to look at, and I’m genuinely interested in seeing what comes next.
July 14th, 2008 at 1:40 pm
I am reading this strip regularly, i.e., more often than you update it.
July 14th, 2008 at 1:45 pm
@xredbird - welcome aboard and thanks! (Former ISU? I attended there 2+ years…)
@sfx - Uh oh! Man just more reason for me to move to two days a week. Believe me I’m working on it now. I hope some of the other stuff I post is of some interest, and I plan to post more artwork.

I just stumbled across your strip a few days ago. I am now up to date and loving every minute of it. Keep it up, it’s very good.

I don’t have any real witty comments, so I guess I have no chance at the Barned & Noble thing. It’s cool that you’re going to twice a week. You’ll find it has a big effect on your readership as well as you (especially you’re social life). It’s twice as much material! Then update the blog the other 3 week days and you got something going on here.

@Keith - Thanks and welcome aboard!
@Tony - I don’t know man, that was pretty witty! I gotta build that buffer first, but I’m looking forward to moving it to 2x a week.

I love this comic, but I too wish it updated more often!
July 15th, 2008 at 7:31 am
Ouch! Things are getting intense here… o.O
July 15th, 2008 at 8:55 am
Well, lookie here - all you gotta do to get some comments on a well done strip is offer people a B&N card? Holy moley. You’d think excellent content and a bag full o’ chuckles would do it, wouldn’cha? But, no. Look how they come outta the woodwork when you offer ‘em a little something extra.
Heya - to be clear, I’m not trying to get the card. I comment here anyway because I want to support and encourage the coolness of this here strip. But while I’m at it - definitely take this strip to two times a week if you can do it. In fact, I’d like to see you do a long-format story. Maybe a 5 page graphic novel-type story just to get yer feet wet.
I think Marooned is straining the edges of this format. Let ‘er out and see what happens!
Keep up the great work.

Hey thanks Og, I appreciate the comments! It’s interesting you mention the longer format thing, because I’ve gone back and forth in my mind with the shorter 4-panel humor vs. longer story format quite a bit. Doing a separate story isn’t a bad idea, it’s just finding the time to do it! But you’re right about straining the edges - the next story arc is going to do just that.
Thanks again for the comments, they’re much appreciated!

@ Og. Personally i “came outta the woodwork” because Tom wanted to know who’s a fan! and i am one of them!
July 15th, 2008 at 9:50 am
SFX- I’m glad you DID! Speaking as an artist of my own strip, I wish more people would comment on all of our strips. I guess maybe I’m gonna have to offer up a B&N card of my own, eh? heh heh…
July 15th, 2008 at 9:53 am
I can vouch sfx is always around
Yeah, we kind of feel like we’re creating in a vacuum sometimes. This was one thing I figured I would try to see if I could get those people who might not comment to say that they are hanging around. Whether it works or not…we’ll see!
July 17th, 2008 at 10:26 am
Hi! I read your comic, but I was too lazy to comment. But I didn’t want you to feel down about not having any readers, so here I am!
July 17th, 2008 at 10:28 am
Hehe, thanks Grant! You’ve made my day!
July 18th, 2008 at 4:06 am
just completed reading your strip now. enjoying it so far, interested to see where you are going to take it.
July 18th, 2008 at 5:45 am
Great - welcome aboard moth!
July 18th, 2008 at 4:12 pm
I stumbled upon your strip by accident and let me tell you…it’s a wonderful accident…splendid even! Splenderful you could say!
I really enjoy the jokes and the story keeps me coming back for more
Your fan,
Karen

Thanks Karen! Splenderful - that’s the best compliment ever!
July 18th, 2008 at 4:57 pm
I’m not entering the contest because I don’t really have much use for a BnN card over here. But I just wanted to say that I stumbled your site 3 times within the past 24 hours - and I don’t even Stumble that much. That must be some sort of record!
BTW, the tapping in frame 2 had me LOLing
July 18th, 2008 at 5:22 pm
Wow, thanks Irma! I appreciate it
- the stumbles do help. I’m so glad someone picked up on the tapping - at least it’s not just me laughing in a vacuum over here! To know that other cartoonists enjoy some of my work gives me that warm fuzzy feeling inside!

I love the way your comic intensifies my bowel movements.
Wait, was that even a compliment…
July 19th, 2008 at 9:11 am
LOL Dux! High praise that is!

I’m sure the contest is long since over, but I don’t care. I just started reading today and I love it. Just love it. The humor is breezy and fun and the story carries well from strip to strip. The art, a bit stripped down from your usual webcomic, actually fits the mood and tenor of the comic perfectly. The use of color really brings everything together into a complete package. Well done, my friend.

Thanks Brock! I don’t know what to say to such kind words.

Howdy. Just hopped over from Jump Leads (yeah, I’m behind over there, too) and quite enjoying myself so far. This was my first comic LOL of the day (and I read an embarrassing amount of webcomics), so well done, mate. Thanks muches for the entertainment and now….onward!

Wow, thanks Stormy! Glad I could be of service. Don’t be a stranger!
