Story Rock

I’ve posted next week’s strip early since I’m going to be extremely busy next week starting a new job as Lead Interface Designer for WMS Gaming. I knew I would never get this in if I didn’t do it now. Up to this point, the strip has been a tremendous struggle, as I have mentioned. According to the poll, the majority of people like a mix of story and humor, and I think that is what I like too, so that will be the direction.

Still, I’ve really struggled with the writing aspect. None of this was planned out, so that’s not surprising. I hope to continue posting on time in the coming weeks, but of course my new job will be my first priority, I’ll do my best to stay on schedule.

What’s John’s problem here? Is he being sarcastic or has he missed the point altogether? I wonder.

A hearty welcome to all you Kukuburi readers, and many thanks to Ramon for the mention. He is an inspiring artist, to say the least. If you are not aware of his strip, you must immediately go there and see it for yourself.

nice comic, but I did have navigation troubles getting from the ‘right and left’ strip to the next strip.

    Keep writing!

I want to know the punch line to his joke!

    Good show, I liked it.

Since the punchline won’t be in the next comic (sorry, spoiler) here it is:

… and starts swinging his dog around above his head. The bartender asks “hey buddy, whatya doin?” The blind guy says “oh, just having a look around.”

Regarding the navigation, it’s pretty standard comicpress navigation, but I will eventually replace the arrows with something a little more obvious. I just have not had the time yet to do it.

Newbie’s not the only one with a navigation problem; the arrows weren’t behaving themselves for me, either. They disappear sometimes. And “Previous/Next” seems to be skipping some comic strip entries. Weird. I found the “missing” strips, including this one, by going to the archive, which works just fine.

On a positive note, yay for a new, fun, space adventure webcomic! The Geborga are really nifty.

Thanks h’lo, I appreciate the feedback. On the navigation, I have been working with it. There are some mods I can do for Comic Press, I have tried a few and they have broken the site so far. Rest assured I am working on it. There is also a new version of Comic Press coming out soon which may address the issue. Either way, I agree the navigation is less than ideal, and I’m trying to work up a solution.
