Many thanks to those of you who have emailed me because you got some kind of warning regarding the Marooned site. Apparently what happened was one of the ad boxes on my site displayed a malicious ad at some point. I don’t think it was up long at all, but enough to throw some warnings.

This was last Friday. At that point I took down all the ad boxes that were suspect, and only today have I added back the header box. Because I have no control over the content in those boxes, I’ll be watching much more carefully. If this happens again, I’ll probably step away from that partner.

In the meantime, you can be sure the site is safe. It must have been such a minor incident, Google never even registered a warning. The Google Safe Browsing diagnostic page currently lists Marooned as 100% clean, and has been clean for the last 90 days.
