Arrived home yesterday to get a nice package from the printer, 65 copies of I, Asimov. As I noted yesterday these are for SPACE primarily. If I have any left over (which I’m assuming I will, but I really have no idea what to expect) I’ll offer them for sale when I get back. This book is mainly strips with Asimov in them and the Saga of Bob. It includes the Click Click bonus strip that was posted (now taken down) and two silly gags that Steve wrote.

Original Art Auction Ended

So the original art piece I auctioned off over the weekend sold. (Thanks to buddy Tom Racine for the purchase, check out his Tall Tale Radio podcast).

I’m certainly glad it sold, but I’m not sure how much interest there really was. There was only the one bid and one watcher. I’m not sure if that means people are not interested, or they just weren’t interested in that piece.

My gut feeling is there’s just not that much interest. So here’s the deal – if you are interested in original art, please let me know what types of strips you’d be interested in. Early ones? Recent ones? Specific events? With or without the overlay?

It could be that people thought the price was too high. I think it was priced accordingly to be honest, and it doesn’t make sense for me to sell them any cheaper than what I had listed. In fact for certain strips, I’d probably ask a bit more.

I’ll go by what I hear in the comments on this post. If there’s not much interest, then I’ll wait another year again and see how things change.
