How alliterative! Progress on the I, ASIMOV floppy has gone well. It’s about finished, in fact, I just need to complete the one page comic that goes on the last page. The final page count will be 24 pages. Here’s a preview panel for you, without any words:

As you can see this is a little slice of life in the Destiny II with John and Asimov on the trip over to Mars from Earth. How do you think they got along on that trip? Hmm.
This was fun to do, it’s 12 panels, one full page. I’m thinking of trying something different with this comic as well. I’m thinking of setting up a donation button, and if it gets to a certain amount (nothing crazy) then I’d post the comic online. Gives me a way to ask give something back while asking for donations. You could always wait and just buy the comic, of course.
Be interested to hear your thoughts on the idea. There’s a handful of comic artists out there who do that to help support their comic. When the donation amount hits x dollars, they post the bonus comic. This is the same thing.

oh, so asimov gets to ride shotgun, while other famous astromech droids get to go on their cavity in the ship’s outer hull.
Asimov is too smart for that
He doesn’t want a piece of dust moving at the speed of light to end his existence!
Hey Tom, I like it! I think after those many, many strips, this panel shows a nice use and blend of digital and techniques picked up doing it old school. You style to me has always managed to depict technology which is a little beaten up, with a nice freehand “wonkiness” (dunno if it’s intentional) but added lines to show minor dents. The shading could be made more of. I find the straight color a bit flat, and it robs the image of depth which the linework has to carry.
Still, I’d buy and read purely for the story!
Keep up the fine, fine work my friend!
Nice looking panel. That little back story should prove to be quite interesting.
Thanks guys. I do like the looseness of it. I don’t know if I’d call it backstory, so much as “back silliness”
