Got a few things to share with you all regarding Marooned. First, this week I was eliminated from Webcomic Idol, so officially I took 3rd place out of something like 87 entries. Thanks to everyone who voted. I really didn’t expect to even make it to the top 10, let alone the top 3. Your support really helped.
I recently was asked to join Kidjutsu, a website where kids can read, discover, and share comics. It’s a pretty neat idea that aims to present kids with quality, wholesome comics to read. The first 50 strips of Marooned are posted there as volume 1. There isn’t anything there you can’t find here, but you might want to check it out and see if there is anything else you like there. You can also give Marooned a thumbs up if you want.
As you probably noticed, things are moving to the climax with this current story arc. Based on my plans right now, we ought to be at the reactor with strip #61 – that’s December 4th folks! Is Bob going to be able to pull off his little time trick? We’ll see.
Which brings me to the issue of what happens next? For awhile now I have been worrying about what the next story would be. Then last night I had a really strange dream. These two carrots are dancing with this cupcake in a tinfoil hat… no wait – that was the other dream. This other strange dream was something of a sci-fi thing (actually starring Evangeline Lilly of all people). It gave me the idea for the next story.
And it turns out that I had started something last night that fits in well with the next story. So here’s a little teaser.

Also notice I put up a new Poll in the right sidebar – who is cooler?

Nice idea putting a turkey in the banner on top
what’s that? an infiltration plan for solid “cardboard box” snake?
Turkey!? I didn’t know they could breathe in space!
Congratulations on Kidjutsu! One of the most impressive things about Marooned, I think, is that it’s completely appropriate for children. That is a feat here on the Internet! It’s a shame that Kidjutsu’s interface is horrible. =/
That map looks like an amorphous blob with skull-eyes and a skull-nose!
Thanks Kelsey – I agree the interface needs some work, but I do know that it’s kind of a work in progress.
That map is a work in progress too
