A few finds and notes from the wonderful world of webcomics. First, check out One Swoop Fell by illustrator Mike Dutton.

One Swoop Fell

Mike has a beautiful style, he’s another one of those guys that makes me want to break all my pencils. He seems to have a good story running as well too. I’ve not read the whole archive yet, but I’m working on it and the characters seem really fun.

Second we have Wonderland by Leisl Adams.

Wonderland.

According to the artist, the story is an Alice in Wonderland story in reverse: Alice, now grown up and working as a police officer is called to investigate some suspicious deaths and along with her partner Jim, ends up traveling back to the human world. I’ve also only barely delved into this but I’m really liking the art and story on this one as well.

My good buddy Steve Ogden (who tipped me off on Wonderland) has also returned to updating Croaker’s Gorge. It’s good to have those characters back in action. He’s considering doing a Copper-like format for Croaker’s next year, which I think would be really cool. Incidentally, Copper has began updating again as well.

Wonderland.

Steve is also hard at work on his animated series Moon Town, which we are all anxious to see. It’s got great characters, great design and great writing. You can learn all about it here.

Wow, I’m not worthy to be mentioned alongside Wonderland and One Swoop! (But I’ll take it)…

    Thanks for the plug!
