Previously on Marooned…
While attempting to send a message to Earth, John fell ill. Ugo brought him to the Volotrum (also called The Dark Ones), his only remaining chance to be healed. The Listener, an apprentice of the Dark Ones – a human woman named Lian Fisher who crashed on Mars years ago – agreed to heal John. In doing so, she fell into some kind of coma – but returned in the nick of time with miraculous powers to help defeat the lizard-like Krosa. In the battle, Ugo’s wounds have revealed him as some kind of robot or machine, making Captain John more confused than ever! Ugo is now explaining what happened to Mars – and how he came to be.
New Readers
Marooned is a longform comic with multiple interweaving stories. The current storyline starts right here, when Captain John becomes ill. Still further back, you can begin reading where Captain John begins to realize he may have been duped into piloting a failed mission. That is the point at which the story of Marooned begins to grow. But for the full experience, you could read from the beginning. Be sure to check out the about page, which explains the story and the main characters.

Haha lol this reminds me of the fact that all people of another race look the same as we usually say
i guess thats vice versa
Ixnay… IXNAY! Schtum! SCHTUMM!!
heh heh. Always funny to try to keep John’s foot out of his mouth. Always.
John needs all the help he can get that way!
Well, technically, her eye IS oval, but in a different manner than UGO’s. Her eye is bigger horizontally, while Ugo’s is bigger vertically. That could explain the “goofy.”
That’s actually exactly it, Uhl. Ugo is the only one who has that vertical oval eye. I’ve always found it interesting that nobody ever mentions/mentioned it. It was always different from all the rest, and he was always the only one with the “bumps” – two telling clues.
For some reason, Dr. Ugofandian just made his eye different.
I thought I noticed some differences between the doctor and Ugo in the panel that had them next to each other, I just figured he looked different to avoid confusion.
Evidently women are the same throughout the solar system.
Hehe, probably the universe!
Now that you mention it, why do these strange humans have TWO eyes, and such small ones at that? They must be half-blind!
(Don’t the Martians have trouble with depth perception?)
Yeah good question about depth perception. Maybe the size of the eye makes up for it!
I once read a sci-fi where aliens only had only one eye but had a laser to fire at stuff and could then get a exact distance, one eye was enough.
You should totally add your comic to ComicHovel.com to get more readers. =]
