175 – Not Always a Wasteland

Well I could have gone on working on this one for another 10 hours, but I just plum ran out of time. Hope you like it!

Previously on Marooned…

While attempting to send a message to Earth, John fell ill. Ugo brought him to the Volotrum (also called The Dark Ones), his only remaining chance to be healed. The Listener, an apprentice of the Dark Ones – a human woman named Lian Fisher who crashed on Mars years ago – agreed to heal John. In doing so, she fell into some kind of coma – but returned in the nick of time with miraculous powers to help defeat the lizard-like Krosa. In the battle, Ugo’s wounds have revealed him as some kind of robot or machine, making Captain John more confused than ever!

    hey theres a river cool…so there was water in those canals,
    the lil rocket on that stand is great too i bet its infront the Air and Space museum…in their case the focus of that museum is shifted towards Air i bet :P

    wow! it’s fantastic! hope you’ll draw a map of the old mars. cities and all. to help the immersion and elevate the awesomeness. :)

    Thanks man :) I’m all for elevating the awesomeness, trust me… I’m slowly working on background materials. A map is a great idea and I’m putting that on the list.

    Lookit them purdy buildings! Great job, man. Just a fantastic bit of storytelling, and you made all that exposition interesting.

    They’re right, you’ve reset the bar again. Good luck with that! heh heh

    LOVE the sky in the picture! It’s very pretty and orange. The landscape really is beautiful… Reminds me of another (fictional) planet. (Just the beauty of it all.) :-)

    great artwork!!! but is this necessarily a global warming thing or is it just the depleted atmosphere on mars showing up, having nothing to do with people/martians?

    Thanks Bobby – no, it wasn’t really a climate change thing. It was more something that just happened naturally to the planet.
