As mentioned Tuesday, today’s colors were done by HAI of By Moon Alone. Tell HAI how incredibly awesome he is! Then go visit his wonderful comic.
Previously on Marooned…
While attempting to send a message to Earth, John fell ill. Ugo brought him to the Volotrum (also called The Dark Ones), his only remaining chance to be healed. The Listener, an apprentice of the Dark Ones – a human woman named Lian Fisher who crashed on Mars years ago – agreed to heal John. In doing so, she fell into some kind of coma – but returned in the nick of time with miraculous powers to help defeat the lizard-like Krosa. In the battle, Ugo’s wounds have revealed him as some kind of robot or machine, making Captain John more confused than ever!
New Readers
The current storyline starts right here, or you can read from the beginning. Be sure to check out the about page, which explains the story and the main characters.

yeah, you too, buddy. keep on comicing.
I can’t read that last panel without reading it like “Lucy, you got som ’splainin’ to do!”
But, yeah, I’m with John! Especially from Ugo!
OK, I’m an idiot. I just read the title of the comic. Haha! Now I know that’s what you were going for
Just… ignore me…
Next is he going to tell her “For the last time, you canna be in the show!”? Nice job, as usual. Like the colors, though you’re no slouch either. (By the way, I feel really old for being able to pick up on the reference . . .)
Boy you guys are sharp
I didn’t want it to be too obvious (so I didn’t abbreviate “explaining”) but it does come to mind!
really, let’s hear it lady…
is that safe while they’re fighting creepy dinos?
That is exactly how I would react.
I guess John has the right to ask eh?
Hai – Sweet diggity DAWG! Love them colors, baby. That’s some good stuff.
Of course, Tom, your usual coloring is nothing to sneeze at either.
Good strip. I can feel the story turning now that the ugly crocogators are gone.
It seems John is finally fed up enough to get some answers out of everyone.
The battle is over and everyone is safe and back to normal relatively speaking so it seems a new arc may be about to start!
Hey, Tom, are you aware of The Listener’s cameo in The Legend of Bill?

Thanks Og, yeah HAI did a sweet job. Crocogators – LOL.
Yes Rex, I saw the cameo – fun stuff!
Is it just me? In the first panel, John’s gun looks like it is bouncing off the ground with a clunk.
It is Jedi. Funny story there. When I drew this strip to get it off to HAI, I forgot to draw the gun entirely. Oops. When I got it back, I figured John was flabbergasted anyway, so I had him drop his gun in panel one, and that fixed the problem – it’s on the ground in panel 2.
Thanks, I wasn’t expecting it to bounce as high as you drew it. Almost back into his hand.
