Well this is what I get when I finish a strip early – I forget to post it! Doh! Hey, Lian is back!
Previously on Marooned…
While attempting to send a message to Earth, John fell ill. Ugo brought him to the Volotrum (also called The Dark Ones), his only remaining chance to be healed. The Listener, an apprentice of the Dark Ones – a human woman named Lian Fisher who crashed on Mars years ago – agreed to heal John. In doing so, she has fallen into some kind of coma. Meanwhile, the dangerous Krosa have attacked, and John, Ugo and Asimov are trying to help the Dark Ones repel them.

Holy cow, this one is well drawn! Look at you go!
Well it’s nice to hear that, because WOW was this one a struggle. Especially the top panel with the small figures. Very hard for me. I really want to improve my drawing this year, and part of that is taking more time to do proper construction. I’m actually a couple strips ahead right now, and so far so good.
Also a little scoop for you folks. Next Thursday’s strip will have a guest color artist! Ooooo…

So what’s this new power of Asimov’s?
Looks like he had a little something more than just the shield.
It’s not new – he’s simply using the shield to repel the Krosa. Just like he did to protect Ril from the rocks – it’s the same idea. Maybe that doesn’t come across that clearly.
Nicely done! I like the top panel as well. Worth the effort. Also like the effect in the third panel. Lian takes ‘em out and leaves no unsightly Krosa residue . . .
