160 – Maybe This is It

I can’t believe how long it has been since we’ve seen Lian. I’ve been practicing with her and I think I’ve gotten better drawing her. At this point she needs some consistency which is a bit lacking. I can tell you that I have never been happy with her uniform, and at some point I will sit down and redesign it. Probably won’t be a drastic change, but it will be a little different.

Previously on Marooned…

While attempting to send a message to Earth, John fell ill. Ugo brought him to the Volotrum (also called The Dark Ones), his only remaining chance to be healed. The Listener, an apprentice of the Dark Ones – a human woman named Lian Fisher who crashed on Mars years ago – agreed to heal John. In doing so, she has fallen into some kind of coma. Meanwhile, the dangerous Krosa have attacked, and John, Ugo and Asimov are trying to help the Dark Ones repel them.

She’s in the Nexxus. So comfortable. Why fight it? Sleep. Sleeeeeep. :)

Lian looks particularly nice in panel 2, and nice hands in panel 4! Lookit you steppin’ up the drawing stuff!

Thanks Og :) It’s still a little hit and miss, like I say – consistency! But I get a drawing here and there that I actually sit back and like. Panel 2 is my favorite of her so far.

And I nearly erased through page working on her right hand in panel 4, but it was worth it!

love how she wants to beat up her old self…its an eternal struggle that I can very much relate to.
She should try to find out where that beam of blue light comes from after all Ugo needs help. If she only knew. Good tension here!
Panel 2 looks cool, with eyes closed she looks more of a ‘normal’ girl and less out of her mind.

You aren’t the first to comment that she looks a little crazy with those eyes :) It is an interesting contrast.
