This one was a lot of fun. I hope you like the Krosa. Lot’s going on here – a trigger happy John, a huge phantasm/projection (did you get that?) the Dark Ones making the beats (any idea why?) and battle about to begin. There’s a big surprise coming up soon… stay tuned.

The Book is FINISHED!

Steve Ogden provided the final page of Payload last night – and man was it beautiful! You guys are going to love the story and be amazed by Steve’s work. With that, the book is done! I am sending it off to the printer this week for proofs. Assuming those go well, and knock on wood they should, we’ll be ready to start taking orders. I would love to start doing it this week, but we’ll see how it goes. But no later than next week, order will begin. Tell everyone you know!

Previously on Marooned…

While attempting to send a message to Earth, John fell ill. Ugo brought him to the Volotrum (also called The Dark Ones), his only remaining chance to be healed. The Listener, an apprentice of the Dark Ones – a human woman named Lian Fisher who crashed on Mars years ago – agreed to heal John. In doing so, she has fallen into some kind of coma. Meanwhile, the dangerous Krosa are approaching to attack. John, Ugo and Asimov will try and help the Dark Ones repel them.

    surprise? yeah, i bet. maybe the krosa are the male and the dark ones are the female part of one race. or maybe the dark ones are bad, and the krosa are good.

    The Krosa are not the same as the Dark Ones, just FYI. Think of them as more of a highly intelligent animal than a separate Martian race.

    Nice lizard thingys. The lazers protruding from John’s lazer also seem to be something someone could look forward to seeing. The lightning bolts are always appreciated. :-)
