Previously on Marooned…
While attempting to send a message to Earth, John fell ill. Ugo brought him to the Volotrum (also called The Dark Ones), his only remaining chance to be healed. The Listener, an apprentice of the Dark Ones – a human woman named Lian Fisher who crashed on Mars years ago – agreed to heal John. In doing so, she has fallen into some kind of coma. Meanwhile, the dangerous Krosa are approaching to attack. John, Ugo and Asimov will try and help the Dark Ones repel them.

I love the layout with just Asimov’s screen. The suspense! This looks really awesome.
oh, how i hate cliffhangers!
ooh it’s so exiting! I wanna read more now!!! D:
Ooh, nice build-up! Also: loving the groovy panel layouts
“Let us prepare the beats.”
If this were a movie that would be an awesome oppurtunity to have a Beastie Boys track kick in.
*shiver* I swear I got chills.
It’s getting good… it’s getting very, very good… can you feel the tension!?
Thanks for the kind words everyone! I’m glad you are enjoying it. This particular story arc is going to be one of the most challenging things to draw since I started this comic. Not only is it the first real action, but another new creature too!
I’m glad the tension comes across. On Monday, we’ll get our first good look at the Krosa… dum dum DUMMM! I just finished penciling it, and I’ll be darned if I’m not happy with it, and that rarely happens! I’m anxious to ink and color it. Can’t wait for you guys to see it.
I just imagined the Krosa looking like cute little creatures, and it was hilarious.
I don’t think “cute” is going to be a word you are going to use after you see them.
I love the sort of “Aliens” vibe I’m getting from Asimov reading off how far away the creatures are. Monday is gonna be good!
THUMP?
They’re preparing the beats…and the Deets! Ah ha…!
Hey I’m imagining the Volotrum as a herd of stampeding elephants, lol.
Well yeah, they’ve got that elephant feel for sure. I wouldn’t want to be stepped on by one!
Amazing webcomic! And the design of the whole page is fantastic! Great work, indeed!
p.d. I noticed that you have double navegation buttons…why? If you want to eliminate the “first, previous” below your custom buttons, just go to “Companion” and write
.nav {display: none;}
and presto!
Thank you Hilus! Very fine of you to say so. Your art looks fantastic as well!
EDIT: Whoops, yeah – good point. Don’t really need both. Thanks Hilus!
Hilus you are my hero! I was doing some crazy stuff to get that removed on my own site!
