109 – Shadowy Conclusions

Asimov just has to annoy everyone, doesn’t he?

Next week is MAROONED CLASSICS Week!

I’ll be away on vacation next week, and since I work without a buffer, I simply won’t have time to squeeze in two extra strips – especially with the story being in somewhat of a critical area right now. I don’t want to rush it, and I doubt you want me to either.

So, I’ve picked 5 strips I like from earlier Marooned days, tweaked them a bit by recoloring them and touching them up so they look spiffy. So even though I will be gone, you’ll actually get FIVE whole strips of Marooned next week! Hopefully even though they are reruns you will enjoy them. For some of you who are newer, maybe you haven’t seen some of these.

I’ll also be putting a little commentary with each one. Hope you enjoy them!

Previously on Marooned…

While attempting to send a message to Earth, John fell ill. He returned to the Martian sanctuary Vita to administer antibiotics, which made him worse. Ugo has now brought him to the Volotrum (also called The Dark Ones), his only remaining chance to be healed.

Meanwhile, Asimov and Ril got trapped in a sandstorm and had taken sanctuary inside Captain John’s ship. They have returned and are now awaiting learning where John has gone.

New Readers

The current storyline starts right here, or you can read from the beginning of the strip. Be sure to check out the new reader page, which explains the story and the main characters.

Looking forward to seeing the re-touched classics. Hope you have a blast on your vacation!

P/S- The Dark Ones models are so cool! Is that plasticine or papier mache?

  3. tdellaringa

Thanks Blue – it’s a polymer clay called “Sculpey.”

Asimov’s personality is so perfect. No one is quite as annoying as He Who Sees the Truth and Speaks It. We should all have an Asimov in our lives…

  5. tdellaringa

“He Who Sees the Truth and Speaks It” – LOL – Thanks Og!

I like the idea of re-releasing classics. Are you going to also add a bit of commentary about your feelings concerning those particular strips? that would be cool indeed.

  7. tdellaringa

Yes Matt – each day will have a commentary on why I chose the strip. (To me that’s part of the fun of it). So I’m hoping that will make it more enjoyable in addition to seeing them “spruced up” a bit. I’ll also mention any changes I made to each strip (if any).

I just saw that little sentence in your post. (oops!)

Anyway, enjoy some much deserved time off!

  9. tdellaringa

    Hehe, no problem, and thanks!
